Meet Anna Santana (She/Her): Our Southern Utah Advocate and Program Supervisor
Let us introduce you to Anna Santana, our incredible Southern Utah Victim Advocate at Sego Lily! W Anna has been an invaluable part of our community for over a year, and we couldn't be more grateful to have her on our team.
Anna's journey began in Mexico, where she was born. At the age of four, she embarked on a new chapter when she moved to the USA. E Anna is Deaf and brings a unique perspective and unwavering dedication to her role.
Not only is Anna a passionate advocate, but she's also a loving mom to two adult sons, which is a testament to her nurturing spirit.
When she's not busy making a positive impact in the lives of others, Anna enjoys the simple pleasures of life. She cherishes quality time spent with her family and friends, loves exploring new places through her travels, and indulges her curious mind with the magic of books.
Kenz Smith (Pronouns Indifferent) - Our Outreach Program Coordinator
The powerhouse behind Sego Lily's Outreach Program! Kenz has been a driving force in our organization. Formerly our Northern Utah Advocate, she's now our Outreach Program Coordinator, and we couldn't be more thrilled to have her!
Kenz is a true Salt Lake City native, born and raised right here in the heart of Utah. Her journey into the Deaf community began at a young age when her parents discovered her own Deaf identity at just over two years old, and they also learned she had a Deaf younger sister. She's a proud product of the Utah School for the Deaf and Blind (USDB) program.
With 13 years of experience as a Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA), Kenz decided to pivot her career toward her passion for the Deaf community. She worked as a Deaf Mentor at USDB PIP, a role she adored and still subs for today.
Kenz officially joined Sego Lily Center in August 2021, and she's been making waves ever since.
When Kenz isn't working (which isn't often, because she's a true dynamo!), she's finding ways to lend a helping hand. Whether it's tackling handyman tasks, caring for her beloved fur baby MeKi, or whipping up delicious meals for everyone to enjoy, she's always on the move! &
Kenz also knows how to unwind and have fun. She's a puzzle master, a PS5 gamer, and a basketball enthusiast who loves shooting hoops!
And if that's not enough, you might catch her engrossed in Criminology shows, adding a touch of mystery to her downtime.
