Social Work and Sexual Violence

Celebrated each March, National Professional Social Work Month is an opportunity for social workers across the country to turn the spotlight on the profession and highlight the important contributions they make to society. Our nation’s more than 600,000 social workers have amazing tenacity and talent. They confront some of the most challenging issues facing individuals, families, communities and society and forge solutions that help people reach their full potential and make our nation a better place to live.

Join the Utah Coalition Against Sexual Assault and Masters of Social Work Student Association at the University of Utah as we celebrate and discuss the unique contributions of social workers during National Social Work Month. This panel of social workers will discuss the critical role that social workers play in sexual violence prevention and intervention.

This panel will feature advice, personal experiences, and an in-depth discussion of the front line role that social workers play in our movement. CEUs for this event are currently under review and if approved, will be provided to participants.
