Classification: Part Time $15/ hour
Reports to: Prevention & Awareness Coordinator
Peace House operates Prevention & Awareness Programming that works to inform the community about domestic and sexual violence and Peace House services and to create a community network that can benefit and support clients. Peace House also provides prevention education programming in grades K-12 in schools in Summit and Wasatch Counties to inform students about abuse and its opposites (i.e., healthy relationships).

1) Community/ School Presentations
Develop, schedule, and facilitate appropriate presentations of the curriculum to local schools,
parents, school personnel, social service agencies, civic groups, coalitions, hair salons, faith groups,
non-profit organizations, and local businesses.
Coordinate curricula with Prevent Child Abuse Utah and other collaborating agencies.
2) Team Player
Attend bi-monthly team meetings and monthly staff meetings.
Attend professional training as requested by supervisor.
Responsible for all schools assigned by supervisor completion.
Communicate clearly and professionally with staff, volunteers, and constituents.
Work with other specialists within the Prevention Education Program to fill-in.
3) Reporting Data
Provide monthly reports and evaluations to the Prevention & Awareness Coordinator.
Assist with data reporting for grants and partnerships purposes.
4) Building Relationships
Build relationships with School Boards, administrators and teachers in Summit and Wasatch counties
to present the Prevent Child Abuse Utah (PCAU) and Safe Dates curricula.
Attend and represent Peace House, Inc. at community meetings.
Assist with planning and implementation of community awareness events.
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
Position Type/Part-time 20 Hours/ Week
Required Education and Experience
Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree is required in order to be a Prevent Child Abuse Utah educator.
Experience working in social services.
Domestic & sexual violence knowledge.
Current First Aid and CPR.
Ability to obtain PCAU training with 60 days
Ability to obtain 40 hours of CORE DV and Sexual Assault Training within 12 months.
Work Authorization/Security Clearance
Must be able to pass background check
