Each year, advocates across the country recognize April as Sexual Assault Awareness Month (SAAM). The goal of SAAM is to increase public awareness about sexual violence and engage the community to prevent it. The Utah Coalition Against Sexual Assault (UCASA) is hosting the 2017 Fearless 5K in May following the conclusion of our other events recognizing Sexual Assault Awareness Month.

The 2017 UCASA Fearless 5K will be held on Saturday May 6th, 2017 at Memory Grove Park. Now in its third year, the Fearless 5K raises critical funds to support the life changing work of UCASA and serves as a source of inspiration and hope for advocates and survivors of sexual assault alike. Our goal is simple; weʼre working to create a society free from sexual violence. Our organization works aggressively to eliminate sexual violence in all of its forms and in all places.

Since 1996 we have provided advocacy, resources, and training for organizations and individuals throughout Utah who are engaged in sexual violence prevention and response. Weʼve worked to empower survivors to transform our community. As the voice of those working in Utahʼs sexual violence field, we advocate for public policy measures that will increase resources for sexual violence prevention and promote accountability for those who commit sexual offenses.

Support from you and your organization is what makes this work possible. Generous donations and sponsorships provide critical funding for our programs and work. By sponsoring the Fearless 5K, your organization can demonstrate its commitment to changing our community. Our supporters and members are engaged in our community and know the importance of supporting the organizations that are committed to our work.

We hope that you are inspired to join the UCASA family and help us combat sexual violence in our community. If you have any questions, please contact us directly and we would be happy to answer them.

Thank you,

Megan Hoffman & Lauren Mickelson
Fearless 5K Co-Chairs
